JewelsHire a distinguished leader in the realm of jewellery industry recruitment extends its invitation for a position at a renowned jewellery manufacturer located in BKC Mumbai
Key Roles & Responsibilities :
- Source and procure certified diamonds as per quality size shape and budget requirements.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with diamond suppliers manufacturers and dealers.
- Evaluate diamonds based on the 4Cs Cut Colour Clarity and Carat along with certification and overall make.
- Review and verify diamond certificates from grading laboratories.
- Negotiate pricing terms and procurement conditions with suppliers.
- Monitor daily diamond market prices availability and market trends.
- Coordinate with internal sales merchandising and inventory teams to understand buying requirements.
- Inspect and assess diamonds before purchase and ensure they meet defined quality standards.
- Maintain supplier databases purchase records and diamond procurement documentation.
- Identify new and reliable suppliers to strengthen the companys sourcing network.
- Ensure timely procurement and availability of diamonds as per business requirements.
Requirements
- 5 years of experience in diamond buying sourcing or procurement.
- GIA Certification Course
- Strong knowledge of certified diamonds and diamond grading parameters.
- Excellent understanding of 4Cs of Diamond
- Excellent negotiation skills.
- Good understanding of GIA and other reputed diamond certification reports.
- Strong knowledge of diamond pricing market trends and supplier networks.
- Strong analytical ability to compare diamonds on quality and commercial parameters.
- Existing contacts within the diamond trading/manufacturing ecosystem will be an advantage.
