DevOps Lead

We are looking for an enthusiastic DevOps Lead Engineer to work to work at the forefront of our cloud modernisation within our Credit & Verification Services. This is a hybrid role requiring travelling to Hyderabad office 40% per month.  

As aLead DevOps Engineer you will lead a high-performing agile engineering team responsible for delivering the product backlog of theCredit Report Cloud Foundation Platform. You will guide and mentor a team of DevOps engineers and collaborate closely with development teams to enable rapid and reliable infrastructure provisioning. Your leadership will be critical in piloting foundational setups driving automation across CI/CD pipelines and ensuring seamless integration with cloud-native environments. You will play a strategic role in accelerating development velocity improving platform reliability and fostering operational excellence.  

Key Responsibilities:  

• Lead and mentor a team of DevOps engineers fostering a culture of collaboration ownership and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the full software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Own the design and implementation of scalable CI/CD pipelines across multiple teams.
• Architect and maintain reusable Infrastructure as Code (IaC) modules using Terraform AWS CDK or CloudFormation.
• Provision and manage resilient and scalable infrastructure on AWS ensuring high availability and performance.
• Drive the adoption of DevSecOps practices embedding security early in the development lifecycle.
• Implement and oversee robust monitoring logging and alerting solutions to ensure system health and observability.
• Ensure infrastructure meets standards for security compliance scalability and cost-efficiency.
• Champion an automation-first mindset across the team and engineering practices.
• Provide technical leadership in fulfilling non-functional requirements such as performance reliability and scalability.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Experience working in agile teams and contributing to sprint planning and retrospectives.
• Passion for continuous improvement and innovation in DevSecOps practices.
• Automation-first mindset proactively seeks opportunities to automate and optimize engineering workflows. 

Qualifications :

• Qualified with a degree Computer Science MCA in Computer Science Bachelor of Technology in Engineering or higher.
• 8 years of hands-on experience in DevOps roles with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Proven experience in building and supporting cloud-native solutions onAWS(preferred) Azure or Google Cloud. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. Experience working in agile teams and contributing to sprint planning and retrospectives.
• Passion for continuous improvement and innovation in DevSecOps practices.
• Automation-first mindset proactively seeks opportunities to automate and optimize engineering workflows.

Required Technical Skills & Knowledge: 

• Expertise in CI/CD tooling such asJenkins Bitbucket Pipelines GitHub Actions GitLab Harness AWS CodeBuild/CodeDeploy orAzure Pipelines.
• Strong hands-on experience withInfrastructure as Code (IaC)usingTerraformAWS CDK and/orCloudFormation.
• Deep understanding of networking fundamentals including IP addressing DNS routing firewalls and WAFs.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such asBashPowerShell orPython.
• Experience withDockerandKubernetes with preference forAmazon EKS.
• Solid understanding of cloud security principles and IAM policy design.
• Experience working and leading a team inAgileenvironments and contributing to sprint planning and retrospectives. 

Desirable & Useful skills: 

• Experience withGitHub Enterpriseand GitOps practices.
• Familiarity withserverless architectures(e.g. AWS Lambda Step Functions).
• Exposure toAI/ML toolsand their integration into DevOps workflows.
• Knowledge ofFinOpsand cloud cost optimization strategies.
• AWS Certifications(e.g. Solutions Architect DevOps Engineer) are a strong plus.
• Experience withGenerative AI (GenAI)in DevSecOps and software engineering contexts.
