Datacenter Operations Engineer

Services: Datacenter Operations and Management (DC & DR)

Service Window: 24 X 7 (Monday to Sunday.)

In-Scope Activity:

Monitor and Maintaining DC Environment as per standards defined.

Restore activities of stratus servers.

Backup and restore activities using VERITAS utilities.

Maintenance of VERITAS policies and configuration of backup clients etc.

Maintenance of Master servers and Media servers.

Processing data restoration requests.

Media Management -Onsite and Offsite media movement.

Maintaining Inward and Outward of server hardware.

Maintaining Inventory of software licenses and media library.

Call logging for all server hardware issues.

Maintaining register for physical access in Data center.

Preparation of Data Center status report which includes previous days backup environment checks hardware failures

network checks.

Provide for vendor management/call management.

Monitor datacenter environment settings temperature and power etc.

Maintain ITIL CMDB ITIL process management.

Coordinating with admin department for inventory.

Assets tagging labeling and inventory management.

Access management for datacenter and maintain physical activity.

Monitoring of all Servers hardwares Network equipments and network links through tool (Manage Engine Ops

Manager) provided by NCDEX for CPU Memory Disk space and critical events

Dc-Ops team will open the tickets in ticketing tool and assign to appropriate group

Daily monitoring of Servers Storage Network equipment for hardware error or warning (umber lights)

Follow up for Severity 1 tickets till closure

L1 Support for Microsoft & Unix administration activity

Deployment of anti-virus agents and anti-virus signature on all DR servers and desktops

Perform change management process as per NCDEX Requirements

Monitor backup jobs and take adequate actions if necessary

Inventory management of all DR servers located at NCDEX DR site

Call Ticket Management

Vendor Management for hardware installations troubleshooting

Coordinating with vendors for resolving hardware calls

Monitor replication and take necessary action in case of failure

Sify DC team to co-ordination with NCDEX KM Mumbai team for day-to-day activity

Manage and maintain offline tape movement activities

Co-ordinate between Sify DC team and NCDEX to carry different scheduled activities

Support for Infrastructure on cloud

Required Experience:

Exec
