Job Role: Data Testing Analyst

Role Overview and Expected DeliverablesThe Testing Engineer will be responsible for testing the data Products and end Data Solutons which can include both external and internal reports.

- Testing engineer will be responsible ensuring the data quality accuracy reliability and performance of Data Products delivered by the Data Solutions team.
- They will work closely with Data Engineers Data Managers Product Owners and BI Developers to design and execute comprehensive data testing strategies across the endtoend data pipeline.
- Define automated and regresion testing approach for the delivery of data products

Qualifications :

Must have skills

SQL testing BigQuery validation dbt tests data reconciliation data quality checks Python automation pipeline testing regression testing test case design

Good to have skills

Airflow validation Great Expectations or similar tools Grafana/Splunk monitoring financial data reconciliation CI/CD testing

Core Technical Requirements

Data Testing
- Strong SQL expertise especially in analytical SQL within cloud data warehouses (preferably Google BigQuery).
- Hands-on experience with dbt & BigQuery
- Experience with automated data testing frameworks such as dbt tests

Report Testing
- Experience testing Power BI dashboards semantic models and DAX measures.

DevOps CI/CD & IaC:
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines Git-based workflows and DevOps principles for data workflows.

Security Data Governance & Operational Resilience:
- Solid grounding in cloud security best practices and leastprivilege IAM.

Delivery Approach & Ways of Working- Experience working within Agile delivery frameworks.
- Use of JIRA and Confluence for delivery management and documentation.
- Proven track record collaborating effectively in multidisciplinary teams across engineering product and analytics.

Specialisations  - Proven experience of working as A Data tester in Financial Services domain
- Advanced skills in SQL based Data Testing and scripting skills in Python
- Experience with Dev Ops and CI/CD
- Experience working with Data warehouse and Report testing

Experience & Other - 5 or more years experience in data testing  and data validation
- Strong problemsolving capability comfortable troubleshooting defects
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Selfstarter able to lead components independently while partnering closely with internal teams.
