About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Data Quality Issue Management (DQIM) Lead to join our Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Chennai.

In this pivotal role you will lead the regional Data Quality Issue Management framework ensuring that data defects across core banking domains are systematically identified triaged tracked escalated and remediated. You will serve as the primary operational link between Data Owners Business Units IT Teams and Risk/Compliance functions to enforce regulatory compliance safeguard data integrity and elevate enterprise data governance standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Framework & Process Governance: Develop maintain and continuously refine the Data Quality Issue Management (DQIM) framework operating procedures SLAs and root-cause analysis standards in alignment with regulatory guidelines (e.g. BCBS 239).
  • Triage & Issue Resolution: Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of data quality issues from intake and severity classification to root-cause investigation owner assignment and closure verification.
  • Platform Ownership (ServiceNow): Lead the implementation and workflow management of ServiceNow (SNOW) as the enterprise platform for tracking reporting and automating data quality defect management.
  • Regional & Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with regional Data Owners Data Stewards Risk Compliance Audit and Technology teams to drive accountability and timely issue remediation.
  • Executive Dashboards & Reporting: Design and maintain senior management scorecards tracking issue aging severity trends recurring systemic risks and regulatory compliance metrics.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify systemic data vulnerabilities promote proactive data quality controls and lead continuous improvement initiatives across business lines.
What We Are Looking For
  • Experience: 5 years of dedicated experience in Data Governance Data Quality Management Risk Management or Regulatory Reporting within a Banking or Financial Services environment.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Solid understanding of global banking regulatory expectations and frameworks particularly BCBS 239 principles.
  • Tooling Expertise: Hands-on experience using ServiceNow (SNOW) or similar enterprise issue tracking and governance workflow platforms.
  • Analytical & RCA Skills: Strong ability to conduct root-cause analysis (RCA) assess business/regulatory impact and define effective remediation plans.
  • Stakeholder Management: Exceptional communication and matrix-management skills to influence cross-functional business heads IT teams and audit functions.
  • Education: Bachelor s degree in Information Management Computer Science Finance Business or a related discipline.
