Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Accounting Data Entry: Enter day-to-day financial transactions accurately into accounting software and Excel.

  • Purchase & Sales Entries: Record purchase invoices sales invoices credit notes debit notes and other accounting documents.

  • Bank Entries: Enter bank transactions receipts payments deposits and withdrawals accurately.

  • Cash & Petty Cash: Maintain daily cash and petty cash records and ensure all entries are properly supported by documents.

  • Accounts Payable & Receivable: Update vendor and customer ledgers and maintain accurate outstanding records.

  • Invoice Verification: Check invoices for basic details such as date amount GSTIN tax amounts HSN/SAC codes and supporting documents before entry.

  • GST Data Entry: Enter and maintain GST-related purchase and sales data accurately for further preparation of GST returns.

  • TDS Data Entry: Maintain TDS-related transaction data and supporting records for the accounts team.

  • Ledger Maintenance: Ensure timely posting and updating of ledger entries and assist in maintaining accurate account balances.

  • Reconciliation Support: Assist the Accounts team with bank vendor customer and ledger reconciliations by identifying mismatches and missing entries.

  • Data Accuracy: Cross-check entries with source documents and ensure minimum errors duplicate entries or missing transactions.

  • Document Management: Maintain proper filing and digital records of invoices bills receipts payment documents and other accounting records.

  • MIS & Reports: Prepare basic Excel reports transaction summaries outstanding statements and other reports as required by the Accounts team.

  • Coordination: Coordinate with vendors customers internal departments and the senior Accounts team for missing documents or clarification of accounting entries.

  • Record Maintenance: Ensure all accounting data is updated on time and readily available for audit and reporting purposes.
