We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Technical Leader to join our team and take charge of defining and driving the long-term platform architecture for our on-premise UC systems. This role is crucial in ensuring the scalability resiliency operability and security of our systems. This role is crucial in ensuring the scalability resiliency operability and security of our systems. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to lead a team contribute to code and design and make a significant impact on our business-critical operations.
Responsibilities
- Define and implement a robust platform architecture for scalability and performance.
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers providing technical guidance and support.
- Directly contribute to code development using C Python/Java and shell scripting on Linux platforms.
- Architect and manage virtualization and deployment across various models including ESXi Nutanix and cloud services.
- Optimize build processes and orchestrate dependencies to enhance engineering productivity.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focusing on build times and overall efficiency.
- Own and resolve critical customer escalations ensuring timely and effective resolutions.
- Stay updated with the latest technologies and trends in UC platforms clustering and Informix workflows.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical solutions with business needs.
- Ensure compliance with security protocols and best practices especially in SELinux and PAM controls.
Qualifications
- 12 years of experience in software engineering with a proven track record of technical leadership.
- Expert-level knowledge of Linux and distributed systems with a strong understanding of ESXi Nutanix and cloud deployment models.
- Deep expertise in containerization technologies and an ability to lead virtualization initiatives.
- Proficiency in SELinux Linux PAM controls and performance profiling techniques.
- Practical experience with AI-assisted engineering tools for code optimization and debugging.
- Familiarity with UC platforms VoIP SIP/XMPP messaging and voicemail technologies is preferred.
- Knowledge of OpenSSL BC FIPS and crypto libraries is an asset.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills able to work effectively with diverse teams.
- A passion for technology and a commitment to staying updated with industry trends and best practices.
