Job Summary
In this role you will:
The Microsoft Copilot SME is responsible for the engineering configuration and lifecycle management of Copilot capabilities across Microsoft 365 and the wider Microsoft platform. The role focuses on enabling secure and effective adoption building and governing agent solutions and integrating Copilot experiences with enterprise data and workflows to deliver measurable productivity outcomes for end users across all countries and regions where HSBC operates.
- Design build and govern Copilot solutions and agent experiences using Copilot Studio including prompt design tool grounding and publishing controls.
- Deliver automation and workflow enhancements using the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate Power Apps and Dataverse) to complement Copilot use cases.
- Integrate Copilot and agents with enterprise data and services via Microsoft Graph API ensuring appropriate authentication permissions and data access patterns.
- Measure adoption and value using Work IQ and other telemetry and partner with stakeholders to iterate on agent creations governance and change management.
- Implement enterprise-grade guardrails for Copilot and agents including access control alignment content grounding boundaries and secure publishing/retirement processes.
- Define and run testing and evaluation for Copilot prompts and agent creations (functional safety and regression) and remediate issues identified through telemetry or user feedback.
- Partner with data and platform teams to align Copilot and agent scenarios to trusted data foundations (including Microsoft Fabric where applicable) ensuring information is current discoverable and permissioned correctly.
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- Experience delivering Copilot/agent solutions in a large enterprise environment with a strong focus on security compliance and responsible AI.
- Hands-on capability with Copilot Studio to create test and manage agent creations (including connectors actions and knowledge grounding).
- Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate Power Apps and Dataverse) to orchestrate end-to-end Copilot-enabled processes.
- Practical experience using Microsoft Graph API to integrate identity mail calendar Teams and SharePoint/OneDrive scenarios into Copilot or agent workflows.
- Ability to define success measures and insights using Work IQ and related analytics to evidence adoption productivity impact and control effectiveness.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Fabric to support data sourcing semantic models and reporting for Copilot and agent scenarios (where applicable).
- Good understanding of prompt engineering patterns grounding strategies and enterprise guardrails for Microsoft Copilot (including data loss prevention and information protection considerations).
