Controllers LEC Snr Analyst Bengaluru

The Investment Accounting team performs the accounting and reporting functions under local as well as USGAAP for the firms investments in various real estate loan and private equity portfolios.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Safeguard the assets and reputation of the firm by controlling and supporting the asset management division as well as ensuring that they are in compliance with the firms policies and with the rules/regulations that govern global financial markets

• Prepare/Review monthly/quarterly/ annual financial accounts closing for multiple entities as per local and USGAAP requirements and disclosures

• Provide variance analysis for such Financials

• Basic knowledge of US GAAP / IFRS (preferred)

• Support intercompany balances reconciliations payments etc

• Work closely with fund administrators and auditors

• Cash management payments and capital planning process

• Assist in ad hoc requests for financial information of entities assigned

• Review/prepare tax calculations including corporate income tax and Goods and Services Tax

• Liaise with other internal departments within the firm (e.g. tax legal treasury deal teams middle office) globally in the course of his/ her work.

• Review quarterly / monthly valuations and NAVs for private equity and hedge funds review yearend financial statements and perform related activities

SKILLS COMPETENCIES AND RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

• Qualified CA/ CPA with experience 4 - 6 years in the Investment Accounting/ alternative investments /private funds market and process management desired

• Basic knowledge of financial statements preparation & review USGAAP IFRS knowledge and experience in coordinating with Big 4 accounting firms during audit cycle is desirable.

• Basic industry knowledge in Investment/Fund Accounting and strong accounting knowledge. Accounting knowledge of financial products is desired

• MS office skills knowledge (Word Excel) required

• Strong analytical skills Accuracy and detail oriented

• Candidate must be able to grasp new concepts quickly team oriented and proactive

• Able to handle multiple tasks and prioritize

• Excellent interpersonal client relationship and communication (written and verbal) skills

• Self-starter inquisitive enthusiastic with a strong analytical mind-set Team management experience is a definite plus
