Commis II- Bakery
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Commis II - Bakery to join our culinary team in Mysuru this role you will work under the guidance of senior bakers to prepare bake and finish a variety of baked goods while maintaining the highest standards of quality and food safety. You will be responsible for supporting daily bakery operations and contributing to a collaborative kitchen environment where precision and efficiency are valued.
- Prepare baking ingredients by measuring mixing and combining components according to established recipes and specifications
- Operate bakery equipment including ovens mixers and proofing units while adhering to safety protocols
- Assist in the production of breads pastries cakes and other baked items ensuring consistency in quality and presentation
- Monitor baking times and temperatures to achieve optimal results and prevent product loss
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery workspace including proper storage of ingredients and equipment
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times including proper handling and storage of ingredients
- Support senior bakers with advanced baking tasks and learn new techniques to develop professional skills
- Assist in inventory management by tracking ingredient usage and reporting stock levels
- Collaborate effectively with team members to meet daily production schedules and customer orders
- Perform quality checks on finished products and make adjustments as needed
Qualifications :
- Proficiency in basic baking techniques and fundamental pastry preparation methods
- Knowledge of bakery ingredients their properties and how they interact in baking processes
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards relevant to bakery operations
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions with precision and attention to detail
- Strong time management and multitasking skills to handle multiple baking tasks simultaneously
- Physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods while performing repetitive tasks
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Experience operating standard bakery equipment and machinery
- Preferred: Previous experience in a bakery pastry shop or culinary environment
- Preferred: Familiarity with food handling certifications or food safety training
- Preferred: Knowledge of diverse baking styles and international baking techniques
- Preferred: Basic mathematical skills for accurate measurements and ingredient conversions
