Job Summary
CAD Operator
We are seeking an experienced CAD Operator to join our engineering team at our Prince Anwasa Road office. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing accurate 2D drawings and 3D models preparing technical documentation and supporting product development from concept through to manufacturing. This is a full-time role with office hours from 10:00 to 18:30. Salary range: . Required experience: 3-5 years working with AutoCAD and SolidWorks in mechanical or product design environments.
- Create and modify detailed 2D drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
- Translate engineering sketches and specifications into accurate CAD models and drawings.
- Prepare assembly drawings part drawings and bills of materials (BOMs).
- Ensure compliance with drawing standards and tolerances including GD&T conventions.
- Collaborate with engineers production and procurement to resolve design and manufacturing issues.
- Maintain drawing revisions and manage version control for CAD files.
- Generate visualizations and technical documentation for production and quality inspection.
- Support design for manufacture (DFM) reviews and provide input on manufacturability.
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience as a CAD Operator or CAD Drafter.
- Proven experience with AutoCAD and SolidWorks for 2D and 3D design.
- Strong understanding of technical drawing principles and GD&T.
- Experience preparing BOMs and production-ready documentation.
- Attention to detail and ability to work within project deadlines.
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering Drafting or a related field is preferred.
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team-based environment.
Required skills include proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks strong 2D drafting and 3D modeling capabilities and experience preparing manufacturing documentation.
