Are you passionate about master data excellence and ensuring business-critical information supports smooth operations across a global organization Join our Global Procurement Operations & Master Data team and play a key role in maintaining high-quality Material and Vendor Master Data that enables effective procurement planning manufacturing supply chain quality and finance processes worldwide.

As part of a global master data organization based in Bangalore you will collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders and contribute to data governance operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives. Your expertise will help ensure that master data remains accurate compliant and business-ready throughout its lifecycle.

As an Associate Master Data Specialist you will serve as a subject matter expert for Material Master Data while also supporting Vendor Master Data operations. This role combines operational execution governance and problem-solving responsibilities to ensure reliable and compliant master data across the enterprise.

Key responsibilities include:

• Create maintain extend block and inactivate material and vendor master records in SAP.
• Manage complex material master scenarios including raw materials packaging materials semi-finished products finished products trading materials and spare parts.
• Execute material lifecycle activities such as plant extensions classification updates BOM maintenance bulk data updates and material inactivation.
• Support supplier onboarding and supplier master maintenance ensuring all required approvals validations and documentation are complete.
• Perform data-quality checks resolve master data issues investigate errors and coordinate corrective actions with stakeholders.
• Support data migration system testing cleansing activities and SAP S/4HANA or MDG initiatives.
• Drive process standardization documentation updates root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Monitor operational performance including request volumes backlogs accuracy rework and service-level compliance.

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering Supply Chain Operations Procurement Finance Business Information Systems or a related field.
• 8 to 10 years of experience in Material Master Data Vendor Master Data Supply Chain Procurement Operations or a related shared services environment.
• Strong hands-on experience with SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA master data processes.
• Demonstrated expertise in material creation extensions classifications BOM-related activities lifecycle management and governance.
• Strong understanding of Procure-to-Pay processes and manufacturing or supply chain dependencies.
• Advanced Excel data analysis and reporting capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Ability to perform root cause analysis and drive issue resolution.
• High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
• Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration capabilities.
• Ability to prioritize effectively manage multiple requests and work independently.
• Strong governance and compliance mindset with focus on controls and audit readiness.

The following qualifications are advantageous but not mandatory:

• Experience with SAP Master Data Governance (MDG).
• Exposure to SAP S/4HANA implementation migration testing and stabilization activities.
• Knowledge of Power BI automation tools or process improvement methodologies.
• Experience supporting master data cleansing large-scale data migration and mass-update activities.
• Experience working in global shared services or multinational environments.
• Familiarity with laboratory or inventory-linked master data management processes.
