About the Role:

The Assistant Solutions Owner plays a key role within the Editorial Management Solutions (EMS) team supporting the delivery and enhancement of technology solutions that power editorial and publishing workflows across Wileys Research Publishing business.

Working closely with Solutions Owners Associate Directors and subject matter experts you will help gather and document business requirements support testing and implementation activities and contribute to the successful delivery of products features and services that meet customer and business needs.

As an Assistant Solutions Owner you will work at the intersection of technology business processes and scholarly publishing helping ensure solutions are scalable user-focused and aligned with business objectives. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop expertise in platform management business analysis and product delivery within a global environment.

How you will make an impact

  • Support the collection review and documentation of end-user business and system requirements for products features and services.
  • Assist in translating business workflow needs into clear requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Support release planning business-led user acceptance testing (UAT) and solution rollouts.
  • Create and maintain project documentation communications training materials and process guides.
  • Support project and change management activities associated with new platform releases.
  • Track requirements testing outcomes project decisions and timelines using tools such as Jira Confluence and Aha.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure solutions align with user and business needs.
  • Respond to routine user queries following deployments and escalate issues as appropriate.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and user experience.

What we are looking for

  • Bachelors degree in business administration Information Systems Information Technology or a related field or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Exposure to scholarly publishing peer review systems or related publishing workflows.
  • Experience supporting requirements gathering testing process design documentation or project coordination activities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Power Automate.
  • Experience using collaboration and tracking tools such as Jira Confluence Aha or similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with software development lifecycle concepts and Agile ways of working is desirable.
  • Coursework or certifications in Business Analysis Product Management User Experience or Project Management would be an advantage.
  • Exposure to writing business or system requirements and executing user acceptance testing is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new systems technologies and business processes.
  • Ability to work effectively with global stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
