JOB DESCRIPTION – AREA MANAGER

Position: Area Manager
Division: Acute Therapy – Anti-Infective
Location: Western Mumbai
Coverage: Mira Road to Andheri
Experience: 3–4 Years as Area Manager
Team Handling: 5 Members
VOB: Rs. 30 Lakhs

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Area Manager with strong experience in Acute Therapy and Anti-Infective products. The candidate will be responsible for managing the assigned territory handling a team of 5 members and achieving sales and business targets.

Key Responsibilities

1. Team Management
   • Manage and guide a team of 5 team members.
   • Set team targets and monitor individual performance.
   • Conduct regular field visits and joint working with team members.
   • Train and motivate the team to achieve business objectives.
   • Ensure proper implementation of sales strategies.
2. Sales and Business Development
   • Achieve assigned sales and business targets.
   • Manage a VOB of approximately Rs. 30 Lakhs.
   • Develop new business opportunities in the assigned territory.
   • Increase product penetration and market share.
   • Monitor sales performance and take necessary corrective actions.
3. Territory Management
   • Manage the territory covering Western Mumbai from Mira Road to Andheri.
   • Develop and maintain strong relationships with doctors hospitals distributors and stockists.
   • Monitor competitor activities and market trends.
   • Ensure effective coverage of the assigned territory.
4. Product and Therapy Management
   • Promote Acute Therapy and Anti-Infective products.
   • Ensure effective product detailing to doctors and healthcare professionals.
   • Implement company marketing and sales strategies.
   • Maintain strong relationships with key customers.

Candidate Profile

• Graduate or equivalent qualification.
• 3–4 years of experience as an Area Manager in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Acute Therapy / Anti-Infective experience is mandatory.
• Experience with reputed pharmaceutical companies preferred.
• Experience in handling a team of around 5 members.
• Strong sales and business development experience.
• Good knowledge of the Western Mumbai market.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Target-oriented with a proven track record of achieving sales targets.

Mandatory Requirements

• Acute Therapy / Anti-Infective experience
• 3–4 years Area Manager experience
• Team handling experience
• VOB handling experience of around Rs. 30 Lakhs
• Western Mumbai market exposure preferred
• Good communication skills
