Job Description:
3 years of cloud migration and infrastructure engineering experience
2 years of hands-on experience with AWS services and migration tools
Experience with virtualization technologies and containerization platforms
Experience with both Windows and Linux server environments
Proficiency in AWS migration services (MGN DMS SCT DataSync)Strong understanding of networking storage and compute migration concepts Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (CloudFormation Terraform) Knowledge of scripting languages (PowerShell Python Bash)Familiarity with configuration management tools (Ansible Chef Puppet) Understanding of database migration techniques and best practices
Design comprehensive cloud migration strategies and execution roadmaps Assess existing on-premises infrastructure and applications for cloud readiness
Develop migration patterns and methodologies for various application types Execute lift-and-shift re-platforming and re-architecting migration approaches
ImplementAWS migration tools including Application Migration Service and Database Migration ServiceConfigure and optimize target cloud infrastructure using EC2 VPC and related services Perform application code refactoring and optimization for cloud environments
Establish migration testing frameworks and validation procedures
Coordinate migration cutover activities and rollback procedures Implement monitoring and alerting for migrated workloads
Create migration documentation and runbooks for operational teamsTroubleshoot migration issues and implement remediation strategies
Validate post-migration performance and functionality requirements
Establish cost optimization strategies for migrated workloads
Implement security configurations and compliance requirements
Knowledge of disaster recovery and backup migration strategiesFamiliarity with hybrid cloud architectures and connectivity solutions
Experience with automated testing and validation frameworksVMware or Hyper-V certifications (Preferred)AWS Certified Migration Specialty
