Brief introduction - Role Summary/Purpose:
Are you ready to shape the future of demand forecasting and drive end-to-end supply chain excellence for key product categories As a core member of our Head Office Central Planning team you will harness data science machine learning and advanced computational methodologies to build robust monthly and quarterly forecast plans. You will serve as the strategic bridge between commercial stakeholders (Sales Marketing Finance) manufacturing units and technology vendors to ensure optimal product distribution and supply synchronization. This head office-based role offers a unique opportunity to directly impact crucial business outcomes like Demand Plan Accuracy (DPA) and customer fill rates.
Responsibilities :
Drive Multi-Level Forecasting: Own and generate precise demand forecasts across multiple granularity levels (Category Sub-Category Brand Branch RE) using advanced data science machine learning and AI methodologies.
Commercial Alignment & Collaboration: Lead synchronization efforts between supply and demand by collaborating with commercial teams (Sales Marketing Finance) during regular business reviews to navigate commercial grid execution and market ambiguity.
Data Management & ETL Processes: Extract transform and load (ETL) structured and unstructured data while maintaining high data integrity resolving missing data elements and managing accurate Master Data.
Distribution Planning & Supply Synchronization: Work directly with category manufacturing teams to drive distribution planning for assigned categories aligning stock availability with actual market demand.
Vendor & Tool Management: Liaison continuous improvements in the forecasting engine with forecasting software vendors and drive active SKU management to optimize overall category performance.
Required Qualifications :
Bachelors degree in Data Science Supply Chain Management Business Analytics Statistics Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Demand / Supply planning in an FMCG / Retail / e-Com or any Manufacturing sector organization
Demonstrated hands-on experience using data science AI and Machine Learning techniques for predictive modeling or forecasting.
Proven track record of working with unstructured/structured data and executing Extract Transform and Load (ETL) data processes.
Strong technical proficiency with forecasting platforms computational modeling software and database management tools.
Core understanding of supply chain metrics including Demand Plan Accuracy (DPA) Fill Rates and Master Data governance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) or FMCG environment with a strong understanding of commercial grids and trade execution.
Exceptional cross-functional collaboration and communication skills to effectively manage relationships across Sales Marketing Manufacturing and IT vendors.
Strong analytical problem-solving and critical thinking abilities to manage ambiguity and uncertainty in complex data sets.
Experience driving Collaborative Demand Planning (CDP) and Active SKU Portfolio Management.
