Role Overview : We are seeking an Intermediate Accessibility QA Engineer to validate and improve the accessibility of our this role candidate will test complex real-time interactive components such as dynamic comboboxes auto-suggestions voice-input controls and rich media snippet cards to guarantee full compliance with WCAG 2.1/2.2 AA standards.
Key Responsibilities : 2 years of dedicated experience in digital accessibility testing and QAConduct manual accessibility evaluations on dynamic elements including dynamic dropdowns live region announcements query filter chips and pagination/infinite end-to-end user flow testing using screen readers (NVDA JAWS VoiceOver on macOS/iOS TalkBack on Android) and keyboard-only keyboard focus indicators logical tab ordering search landmark usage and Skip to Search Results shortcut automated accessibility scans using tools like axe DevTools Lighthouse and Accessibility Insights; assist in maintaining automated axe-core test suites in the CI/CD high-quality bug reports with exact reproduction steps impact severity on users with disabilities and code-level remediation recommendations (HTML semantics ARIA attributes).Partner with frontend engineers and UX designers during sprint planning and PR reviews to catch accessibility regressions working knowledge of WCAG 2.1/2.2 Level A and AA criteria Section 508 and WAI-ARIA Authoring Practices Guide (APG).Clear understanding of how to test and validate complex interactive widgets like Combobox Listbox Dialogs Tooltips and ARIA Live -on proficiency testing across primary browser and screen reader combinations (Chrome/NVDA Edge/JAWS Safari/VoiceOver Chrome/TalkBack).Ability to inspect the DOM evaluate color contrast ratios check accessible names in DevTools and read basic HTML/CSS/JavaScript.2 4 years of software testing experience with at least 2 years focused specifically on web/mobile accessibility QA.
