Value stream engineer assembly

We built a brand new manufacturing facility on the outskirts of Miskolc in 2023 which includes assembly and office accommodation. Our Miskolc facility is a key regional facility for the driveline technologies that GKN Automotive supply to our global customer base. We employ hundreds of colleagues from the local community and will continue to develop the site over time.

In this role we are looking for an experienced Value Stream Engineer to strengthen our Assembly team!

What will you be doing in this role:

• Executing process improvements
• Implementing new process standards
• Daily troubleshooting of operative technical issues
• Coordinating subcontractors and suppliers for projects acting as the primary point of contact
• Supporting quality issues from process side
• Training/supporting local operators/shopfloor leadership for assembly processes

Requirements:

• Master/Bachelors degree or equivalent
• Confident English knowledge verbal and written
• Min 3 years of experience in production environment preferably in automotive
• Proactive and result-driven mindset
• Engineering technology competence

• Strong communication skills

• Team player

• Independent management of assigned projects

• Competence for minor surface machining activities (e.g. grinding polishing finishing) is an advantage
