Applications Lead
Job Summary
At APM Terminals technology is at the heart of how we operate. We are looking for an experienced Application Lead to take ownership of our portfolio of business-critical applications ensuring they are reliable integrated and continuously evolving to support terminal operations.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex business challenges collaborating across multiple functions and driving technology-enabled improvements in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Own the end-to-end lifecycle of critical operational and enterprise applications.
- Manage system integrations APIs EDI connections and data flows across multiple platforms.
- Partner with Operations Finance Customer Service and other business teams to deliver technology solutions that create measurable business value.
- Lead application support incident management root cause analysis and service improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate third-party vendors and technology partners to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Deliver IT application projects from planning through implementation while ensuring business alignment.
- Identify opportunities to simplify automate and improve business processes using technology.
- Maintain application performance availability security and documentation in line with IT governance standards.
- 4 years of experience in an Application Lead Systems Analyst Business Systems Analyst Application Specialist or similar senior IT role.
- Strong experience managing enterprise applications throughout their lifecycle.
- Hands-on experience with APIs EDI SQL and integrating multiple business systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business requirements into practical technology solutions.
- Experience managing vendors and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Experience supporting business-critical production environments.
- Experience within logistics supply chain warehousing transportation manufacturing or port operations is highly desirable.
- Experience with Navis N4 or another Terminal Operating System (TOS) is an advantage
- Fluent Spanish and working proficiency in English.
- Must be based in Guatemala or legally authorized to work in Guatemala.
