Giant Pictures and Drafthouse Films is seeking a Staff Accountant for its rapidly growing streaming and home entertainment distribution business. This is an opportunity to join a fast-growing company at the intersection of entertainment and technology in a pivotal finance and accounting role. The Senior Accountant will manage general accounting and financial processes of the company, being responsible for all daily accounting tasks, preparing tax documents and updating expense files. Perform financial transactions and post them in the general ledger, carry out relevant administrative duties (e.g. responding to clients via email and handling invoices). Ultimately, you will ensure that the company’s finances run smoothly. The ideal candidate will have an accounting background in film, television or other media, with experience of content distribution, IP licensing and royalties. You will be detail-oriented, thriving in a dynamic, small-team environment where you can have a strong impact identifying pain points within the existing process and proactively building efficiencies and excellence in financial project management.
