Systems Engineer System Design (OTR) (mwd)

Essential responsibilities:

• Performing studies; deliver study reports.

• Produce Specifications for HV equipment.

• Witness Equipment Testing

• Technical responsibility in areas of expertise.

• Provide guidance to peers on areas of expertise.

• Customer facing responsibilities.

• Processes: develop andindustrializesolution tools and processes associated with the engineering activities identified above. Design Guides.

• Development: Be actively involved in new developments in HVDC technologies implementing control and protection solutions and creating / delivering new analysis techniques and system study toolsin order toprovide optimized system study solutions.

• External activities: Represent the business in external events by publishing technical papers or participating in working groups (CIGRE/IEC/IEEE).

• Adherence to company policies and Code of Conduct.

• Health and Safety: consider Health and Safety preventions risks behaviors. Attend EHS training.

Required qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in engineering preferably Electrical Engineering or masters in Power Systems. PhD degree in Power system would be an added advantage

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in industrial engineering roles.

• Proficiency in Excel and Python

Mandatory:

1. High Voltage Equipment

• Transformer

• Switchgear

• Measurement Devices

• Power Reactors

• High Voltage Equipment Testing (Witnessing)

2. Insulation Co-ordination

• Basic Insulation Co-ordination Studies.

• Surge Arresters

1. Power System System Design for HVDC

• Main Scheme Design for HVDC Converters.

• Single Line Diagram

2. Performance

• Station losses Calculations.
