Job Summary
- Ensure that the plants comply with applicable EHS laws regulations and internal Group procedures.
- Take responsibility for production performance product quality throughput and delivery.
- Plan and monitor operational budgets and ensure effective cost control.
- Continuously improve production processes using Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Ensure compliance with all local and company EHS requirements including risk assessments and occupational hygiene programmes.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements for the safe operation and maintenance of plant machinery and equipment.
- Align production capacity and workforce planning with logistics requirements.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 requirements and objectives.
- Improve quality yield throughput equipment availability and costs through continuous improvement and OPEX projects.
- Identify investment opportunities to improve plant efficiency and yield.
- Ensure production costs remain within approved budgets.
- Prepare regular operational and performance reports for the relevant manager including:
- Operational performance
- Finished goods quality in cooperation with the Quality function
- Key production and cost indicators
- Ensure effective maintenance to minimise downtime and maximise equipment availability.
- Lead develop coach and motivate the site team.
- Address performance and conduct matters when required.
- Organise and oversee quarterly and annual stock counts.
- Work closely with Logistics Quality Maintenance EHS Finance and HR.
- Travel nationally and internationally as required (approx. 5%).
- Degree in Engineering such as Industrial Mechanical Process Mining or a related discipline or any other equivalent qualification.
- Solid hands-on experience in a manufacturing industrial mining or similar production environment.
- Good understanding of plant operations including Safety Production Quality Processes Maintenance and Capex.
- Experience in team leadership and operational management.
- Strong leadership decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Focus on safety quality operational excellence and customer requirements.
- Fluency in German and English.
