Logistics Operations Manager
Job Summary
The Opportunity:
As the Logistics Operations Manager you will lead and continuously improve logistics operations asset management property accountability supply and lifecycle support. You will apply extensive U.S. Army logistics expertise including GCSS-Army and Property Book Officer (PBO)
operations to ensure accountability audit readiness operational effectiveness and responsible stewardship of Government resources. You will supervise a two-person logistics and asset management team while serving as a trusted technical advisor to Government and contractor
leadership. This position requires extensive experience operating in secure DoD environments and the ability to independently analyze complex logistics requirements resolve accountability issues and develop solutions supporting mission requirements across the European theater.
Responsibilities:
Serve as the Senior Logistics Subject Matter Expert for J6 logistics operations asset management supply property accountability and lifecycle management of approximately $12 MIL of equipment supporting multiple security enclaves.
Plan direct coordinate and continuously improve logistics operations supporting USEUCOM J6 mission requirements.
Lead and supervise a two-person logistics/asset management team establishing priorities performance standards quality controls and professional development requirements.
Provide expert-level guidance for GCSS-Army Property Book Officer (PBO) hand-receipt inventory reconciliation transfer turn-in and property-accountability activities.
Manage Government assets throughout the lifecycle including requirements identification acquisition receipt accountability assignment sustainment transfer replacement and disposition.
Analyze complex logistics and property-accountability issues identify root causes and operational risks and develop corrective actions and recommendations for Government leadership.
Establish and maintain asset-management processes SOPs internal controls performance metrics and documentation supporting audit and inspection readiness.
Coordinate with Government PBOs accountable officers acquisition and contracting personnel financial managers IT and cybersecurity organizations and operational stakeholders.
Develop logistics metrics dashboards risk assessments and executive-level reports to provide leadership visibility into asset accountability and operational performance.
Ensure logistics and property activities comply with applicable U.S. Army DoD contractual physical-security information-security and cybersecurity requirements.
Support geographically dispersed operations and coordinate logistics requirements across U.S. Government facilities in Germany and as required throughout the European theater.
Qualifications:
Required:
20 years of U.S. Army logistics supply and property-accountability experience.
Bachelors degree in Logistics Supply Chain Management Business Administration Management Information Systems or related discipline or an equivalent combination of relevant education military training and specialized professional experience where permitted.
Extensive experience with U.S. Army logistics and property-accountability operations.
Significant experience performing or directly supporting Property Book Officer (PBO) functions.
Desired:
Expert-level working knowledge and substantial hands-on experience with GCSS-Army (G-Army).
Demonstrated experience managing Government property throughout the complete asset lifecycle.
Experience with property books hand receipts inventories lateral transfers turn-ins adjustments reconciliation and disposition.
Demonstrated supervisory or senior team-lead experience.
