Job Summary
As a Junior Engineer you will work alongside experienced engineers to develop and maintain the platforms and services that support index construction workflows. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career who is eager to learn modern software engineering practices work on real business challenges and grow their technical skills in a collaborative environment.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of backend services APIs and internal tools.
- Support the implementation of new features and enhancements for the index development platform.
- Collaborate with engineers product stakeholders and business teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
- Write clean maintainable and well-tested code following established engineering standards.
- Participate in code reviews and learn from feedback provided by senior team members.
- Help investigate and resolve issues in development and production environments.
- Contribute to improving documentation testing and developer tooling.
- Learn and apply modern software engineering practices including CI/CD automated testing monitoring and cloud-native development.
- Bachelors or masters degree in computer science Software Engineering or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
- Up to 2 years of professional software development experience including internships working student positions or personal projects.
- Basic knowledge of at least one programming language such as Java Python or TypeScript.
- Understanding of software development fundamentals including object-oriented programming data structures and version control systems such as Git.
- Interest in learning about distributed systems APIs cloud technologies and modern development practices.
- Familiarity with web technologies or frontend development using React and TypeScript is a plus.
- Exposure to containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes is a plus.
- Strong willingness to learn ask questions and continuously improve.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
