Hardware Digital Engineer (mfd)
Job Summary
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary hardware engineering teams to develop SDR products.
- Own all aspects of digital board level design including schematic entry PCB stack-up layout guidelines signal integrity simulations and prototype validation.
- Develop and execute plans for prototype hardware bring-up and board level validation.
- Lead digital design by estimating efforts providing updates on work status and proactively identifying and addressing technical risks

- Minimum Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Computer Science Software Engineering or a related discipline
- Minimum 2 years relevant engineering experience in digital hardware design
- Experience using VHDL and/or SystemVerilog to implement synthesizable logic targeting FPGAs
- Proficiency in using lab tools such as oscilloscopes logic analyzers JTAG programmers lab power supplies DMMs etc.
- Hands-on experience with EDA tools for schematic capture and PCB layout
- Experience in bringing up prototype hardware and in defining and executing test plans to verify board level digital circuits
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex technical challenges
- Experience collaborating with cross-disciplinary engineering teams
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English with the ability to articulate technical ideas to diverse stakeholders
- Experience with clocking architectures including clock tree design PLL configuration and jitter analysis and mitigation techniques for high-speed digital systems
- Familiarity with static timing analysis and FPGA timing constraints
- Experience with FPGA or ASIC integration into digital design
- Proficiency in high-speed design fundamentals including signal integrity crosstalk impedance control EMI and PCB stack-up
- Familiarity with mixed-signal designs and power management for digital systems
- Understanding of PCB thermal and mechanical design considerations
- Familiarity with Xilinx Intel or Lattice FPGAs and CPLDs and associated toolchains
- Experience writing testbenches and simulation models to verify logic designs
- Experience designing and validating high-speed interfaces (i.e. DDR PCIe JESD204 Ethernet)
- Familiarity with common clock domain crossing techniques and timing closure
- Proficiency in scripting or programming languages (e.g. LabVIEW Python) for hardware testing and automation
- Hands-on experience with software defined radios
