German Speaking Technical Sales Development Representative

We are seeking an engineering-driven proactive Technical Sales Representative & Business Developer for High-Performance Ceramics (m/f/d) to join maxon. At maxon our precision drives move the worldfrom medical operating rooms and aerospace applications to Mars rovers. When traditional materials fail high-performance industrial ceramics take over due to their exceptional wear resistance biocompatibility and chemical stability.

In this specialized high-impact role you will act as the technical and commercial bridge for Ceramic Injection Molding (CIM/PIM) technologies. Reporting directly to the Business Unit Head within a dynamic team of 40 people in Sexau you will drive new-business acquisition provide expert technical consulting and manage global customer relationships across high-stakes industries.

• Business Development & Acquisition: Proactively drive new-business acquisition identify growth opportunities and expand project pipelines for ceramic components.
• Technical Consulting: Lead first-level technical consultations and feasibility discussions with prospects regarding CIM/PIM manufacturing processes and material properties.
• Quotation & Project Management: Plan create and coordinate competitive offers costings and technical project documentation in close collaboration with engineering and design teams.
• Key Account Management: Maintain and deepen relationships with existing clients while driving cross-selling and recurring project orders.
• Market Intelligence & Events: Perform market analyses monitor industry trends and represent maxon at national and international trade fairs conferences and customer workshops.
• Multilingual Communication: Manage international customer communications fluently in German and English (French is a strong asset).

• Education: Completed university degree (Bachelor/Master) in Mechanical Engineering Materials Science Industrial Engineering Physics Process Engineering or a related technical/scientific discipline.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of professional experience in technical sales sales engineering or business development (flexible for high-potential candidates with strong technical roots).
• Technical Background: Solid understanding of manufacturing and shaping processes (e.g. sintering injection molding or ceramic technologies) enabling you to consult on complex applications.
• Language Skills: Fließende Deutschkenntnisse (C1 minimum) and business-fluent English (C1).
• Soft Skills: Strong customer orientation proactive hunter mentality excellent presentation and communication skills and an independent hands-on working style.

• Professional proficiency in French.
• Prior experience within the medical technology aerospace micro-drive systems or luxury watch industries.

• Location: Based at our Sexau facility (near Freiburg/Black Forest region).
• Hybrid Model: On-site working model featuring 1 fixed home-office day per week (Tuesday to Thursday flexibility).
• Travel: Regular ad-hoc domestic and international travel for client meetings and major industry trade fairs.
