Full-Stack Engineer Intern (Backend & AI)

Most engineers spend their first years fixing tickets in someone elses system. Youd be building the core of ours.

Right now when a buyer asks ChatGPT whats the best tool for X a handful of brands get recommended. Everyone else is invisible. And most companies have no idea which side theyre on.

Thats the problem GetMOW solves.

Why Cloud Studios exists

Cloud Studios is a Berlin app studio building a portfolio of premium productised digital products. Small team high standards zero patience for boring. GetMOW is our current flagship: it shows B2B software companies how AI engines like ChatGPT Perplexity Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode actually see their brand and what to change so they get recommended.

The logic is mappend out. Now it needs to be engineered properly.

The role

Your main job: turn our product logic into a real running system. The engine behind GetMOW runs prompts across multiple AI platforms collects and structures what comes back analyses it and turns it into insights a CMO can act on. We know exactly how it should work. We need someone who knows how to build it so it doesnt fall over the moment real customers are on it.

Heres the part most internships wont offer: this isnt a side feature. Its the heart of the product.

• Architecting and building the backend system behind GetMOWs AI visibility analysis: orchestration across ChatGPT Perplexity and Googles AI surfaces data pipelines scheduling storage and processing
• Designing AI workflows that are reliable testable and cost-aware
• Laying a secure scalable foundation: auth data handling error handling monitoring clean infrastructure
• Using AI tools (Claude Code or similar) to move fast while owning every line that ships
• Implementing new UI features from our product designers designs and improving the existing frontend codebase
• Making real technical decisions and defending them

• Solid backend fundamentals: APIs databases async jobs system design
• Hands-on experience building with LLMs or AI workflows (API integrations structured outputs multi-step pipelines evals anything real)
• Comfortable across our stack: TypeScript Supabase Vercel AI-native (Claude or similar)
• You care about security and code quality
• You use AI to go faster not to skip understanding
• Strong English written and spoken

Who can apply (please read carefully)

You must be currently enrolled at a university or in vocational training AND one of these must apply to you:

1. Mandatory internship (Pflichtpraktikum): your study or training regulations require you to complete an internship. Youll need to confirm this with your enrollment certificate and your programs internship requirement.

2. Voluntary internship alongside your studies: max. 3 months

If neither applies to you we unfortunately cant and wont consider your application.

• Ownership of a core production system in month one not year three
• Working directly with the founders on every product and technical decision
• A portfolio piece thats genuinely yours: a live AI product used by real companies
• A seat at the table as we build the company with the chance to shape your own role

Details

• Duration: 3-6 months (mandatory internship) or max. 3 months (voluntary internship)
• Full-time 30-40h/week
• Berlin office ideally min. 2 days/week. Remote possible
• Start: ASAP
• This internship is unpaid. We will not be offering any payment for the course of this internship.
• Were not looking for someone to babysit for a few months. Were looking for our engineer. Perform and the conversation at the end is about a paid long-term role with a proper title and real ownership.
