Job Summary

To strengthen our finance team we are looking for a Business this role you act as the financial eyes in the site for both the local sales management team and the Regional and Corporate finance teams.

This function partners with various stakeholders in the organzation and is the financial right hand and business partner of the General Manager in Germany.
The Business Controller is accountable and fully responsibile for developing
budgets and forecasts and analyzing and ensuring the accuracy of the local financial results versus targets.


Your role and responsibilities

  • Create the annual budget and periodic forecasts for 3 German entities

  • Develop monthly management reports analyze and present financial results to the German and finance leadership teams

  • Monitor and evaluate performance against budget or forecast identify risks and opportunties and suggest possible actions

  • Support new or renewed contract negotiations

  • Act as the gate keeper of internal controls (compliance ambassador)

  • Act as the point person between the 3rd party tax and accounting provider and regional and corporate finance teams

  • Communicate with internal departments regarding accounting-related inquiries (e.g. HR Purchasing Management)

  • Provide ongoing reports to management and departments (e.g. payment status liquidity outstanding invoices) and ensure finance documents are routed to the correct department for action


How to succeed / Your profile

  • Accounting or finance degree

  • Experience working in a matrix organization or with sales teams

  • Analytical / hands-on / flexible / solution oriented

  • Proficient in common accounting and ERP systems as well as MS Office (especially Excel)

  • Excellent German skills (written and spoken) and English business proficiency

  • Structured thorough and independent work style

  • Strong team spirit and communication skills

  • Change management and process improvements
