Bioinformatician (mfd) Fixed-term contract

Your Responsibilities

• Transform raw sequence data into meaningful insights through cutting-edge bioinformatic processing and analysis.
• Craft detailed and insightful reports that delight and inform our customers.
• Evaluate test and implement innovative software solutions that push the boundaries of whats possible.
• Develop and customize bioinformatic tools tailored to unique customer projects and enhance our internal capabilities.
• Provide expert advice and technical support becoming a trusted partner to our customers.
• Play a key role in planning and executing exciting sequencing projects.
• Ensure timely delivery of results maintaining our commitment to excellence.
• Contribute to the development of advanced methods for our internal Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
• Drive the optimization of technological processes to enhance service quality and achieve cost savings.
• Champion safety and accident prevention fostering a secure work environment.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace adhering to room responsibility regulations.

Qualifications :

Your experience 

• Knowledge of methods and algorithms for NGS data analysis preferably in variant discovery and genotyping applications
• Formal training in genetics preferably with experience in breeding applications
• Experience in working with Python and general shell scripting
• Preferably experience in working in close cooperation with wet-lab scientists
• Fluent English language skills are a must German would be beneficial
