Comparison Specialist

About the role 

The Comparison team within Scalable Growth Product is building the best competitor dataset to power comparison at Wise. Teams across Wise rely on this data to inform decisions support marketing and demonstrate our value to customers. Comparison Operations helps make that data comprehensive accurate and reliable.

Behind every useful comparison is dependable data: the right providers and routes prices that reflect what customers actually see and pay and collection that runs consistently. Youll help keep these foundations strong as our coverage grows.

Were looking for a curious analytical and organised Comparison Specialist to join us in Tallinn. Youll take ownership of day-to-day collection operations investigate issues and turn recurring problems into practical improvements that help the team scale.

Youll work alongside Product and Engineering and coordinate external data collection agents. Product prioritises the providers we cover; youll research sources and define collection requirements. Engineering owns automated collector development with your support on testing launch and operational follow-up.

This role is ideal for someone with experience in operations data quality or research who enjoys working with detail solving problems and making processes more reliable.


Responsibilities of the role include:

Day-to-Day Comparison Operations

• Expand competitor coverage: research providers prioritised by Product validate pricing sources assess manual or automated collection and define the markets routes pricing details and collection rules required.

• Manage manual collection: recruit agents with the required access coordinate contracting and onboarding and maintain clear schedules scope and guidance. Follow up on missed or failed submissions and check validation and supporting evidence.

• Maintain data accuracy: monitor quality indicators and investigate unusual prices inconsistencies and potential errors. Scope and run periodic reviews against provider sources document findings and coordinate corrective action with agents and Engineering.

• Keep collection reliable: monitor collection health acknowledge alerts and investigate failures. Check for provider source changes create and link Jira tickets with clear evidence escalate technical issues to Engineering and track fixes through to verified recovery.

Process Improvement & Operational Performance

• Support automated collection: prepare clear Engineering requirements covering scope validated sources collection rules and evidence; support testing and launch while Engineering owns development.

• Track collection success operational availability data gaps quality issues and time to resolve problems. Use these measures to identify recurring issues and prioritise improvements with Product and Engineering.

• Identify opportunities to automate manual work and make data reviews repeatable and scalable. Help test improvements and check that they deliver the expected operational results.

• Maintain clear collection guides investigation steps and handover documentation so agents and colleagues can follow processes consistently.

Qualifications :

• Detail-oriented you check pricing collection scope and evidence carefully and care about whether data reflects the customers experience.

• Organised and dependable you manage collection schedules agent follow-ups and open issues while making steady progress on improvements.

• Analytical youre comfortable working with spreadsheets and operational data spotting anomalies and trends and explaining what the evidence shows.

• Clear communicator you write precise collection requirements useful issue reports and practical guides adapting your communication for agents Product and Engineering.

• A practical problem-solver you can investigate collection failures distinguish operational issues from those requiring technical support and escalate with clear evidence.

• Comfortable with ownership you prioritise your workload flag risks early and follow issues through to resolution working with others when needed.

• Experience in operations data quality research or a similar role involving accurate data and repeatable processes.

• Confident learning operational tools and following documented workflows; you look for ways to make them clearer and more efficient.

Nice-to-have

• Familiarity with SQL workflow automation or AI-assisted tools for analysing data and reducing repetitive work.

• Experience coordinating external agents or suppliers including onboarding collection guidance and quality checks.

• Experience with competitor pricing financial services data automated data collection or working alongside Product and Engineering; familiarity with Jira and Confluence.
