Area Manager North and West Africa Rohde Nielsen

Are you an experienced commercial leader with a strong technical understanding of dredging marine construction or marine works Do you have the industry network business acumen and drive to identify opportunities and build long-term client relationships in North and West Africa

On behalf of Rohde Nielsen MARPRO Group is seeking an experienced Area Manager for North and West this key commercial role you will support Rohde Nielsens growth in the region by identifying project opportunities developing client and stakeholder relationships and contributing to the successful development and delivery of dredging and marine infrastructure projects.

The job

As Area Manager you will drive business development activities within North and West Africa. Combining commercial acumen with technical understanding you will identify and pursue new project opportunities establish and strengthen relationships with clients consultants authorities and other key stakeholders and support tendering activities contract negotiations and the commercial management of ongoing projects.

In this highly independent role you will represent Rohde Nielsen in the region helping to expand the companys presence and build long-term partnerships in strategically important markets.

The preferred candidate is based in Europe North Africa West Africa South Africa or another location with good travel connections to the region. Other locations may be considered for candidates with strong regional experience and willingness to travel extensively.

Professional qualifications

• Senior commercial operational or project management experience from dredging marine construction offshore or marine works.

• Strong technical understanding of complex marine infrastructure projects.

• Proven success in business development client management and commercial growth.

• Experience with tendering processes contract negotiations and project execution.

• Ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with clients consultants authorities and other key stakeholders.

• Strong commercial acumen and ability to identify and develop new market opportunities within the region.

• Experience from North and/or West African markets is considered a strong advantage.

• Fluent in English both written and spoken; French language skills are considered a strong advantage.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills in an international environment.

• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across functions and cultures.
