Data Engineer

We are looking for a Data Engineer to join our Digital Manufacturing Platform (DMP) team at MANNHUMMEL. You will help build a global cloud-based platform that collects and processes real-time data from manufacturing lines and machines enabling smarter decision-making across our plants. This role combines modern data engineering with real industry impactsupporting scalable Industry 4.0 solutions used worldwide.

• Maintain and optimize ETL and data pipelines in Azure Databricks using PySpark SparkSQL and Data Lake
• Design and implement new data pipelines and workflows for real-time and batch manufacturing data
• Ensure data quality performance and stability across the cloud data platform
• Support and enhance Power BI dashboards used by manufacturing and business teams
• Maintain and troubleshoot SAP/IDOC integrations and related data flows
• Collaborate with Product Owner and DMP team members on new use cases and data architecture
• Take ownership of the data engineering domain and contribute to building a scalable standardized platform

• Education: Degree in Computer Science Information Technology Data Engineering or a related field or equivalent practical experience
• Experience: 23 years in Data Engineering
• Required Skills: Strong knowledge of Azure Databricks or similar (e.g. AWS Glue EMR etc.) and PySpark / SparkSQL SQL Data Lake and data modeling proficiency in Power BI
• Nice-to-have Skills: Understanding of Medallion architecture (bronze/silver/gold) experience working with IDOC
• Languages: English professional working proficiency knowledge of Czech is a plus
• Competencies: Analytical thinking ownership mindset independence problem-solving collaboration and openness to learning
