Job Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical professional to take ownership of pricing structures and support commercial decision-making across our automotive programs.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and continuously update the pricing structure for all active products and programs
- Track cost developments across material labor logistics and overhead ensuring accurate reflection in sales prices
- Implement commercial outcomes and ensure alignment between negotiated conditions and pricing data
- Work closely with engineering teams to reflect product and BOM changes in cost calculations
- Validate pricing accuracy and ensure consistency across systems and customer agreements
- Monitor purchase orders to ensure alignment with agreed commercial conditions
- Analyze profitability contribution margins and financial performance indicators
- Prepare reports and support management with data-driven insights
- Provide cost transparency to support sales activities and negotiations
- Ensure proper documentation and traceability of all pricing-related change
Education Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration Finance Engineering or a comparable field
- Professional experience in costing pricing controlling or a similar analytical role
Experience Requirements
Technical expertise:
- Advanced Excel capabilities (including structured calculations and data analysis)
- Strong understanding of cost structures (material labor overhead logistics)
- Experience working with pricing models and cost calculations
- Knowledge of Bill of Materials (BOM) handling and cost roll-up processes
- Ability to manage and validate complex datasets with a high level of accuracy
- Experience analyzing profitability contribution margins and financial KPIs
Working style & skills:
High attention to detail and accuracy
Strong analytical and structured thinking
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure
Effective communication and collaboration across functions (Sales Engineering Finance)
Proactive mindset with a strong sense of ownership
Fluent English required; German is an advantage
Nice to have:
- Experience in the automotive industry ideally within a Tier-1 supplier environment
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g. SAP)
- Understanding of OEM commercial requirements
- Knowledge of cost breakdown structures
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI Tableau)
