Function: Product Engineering (CA)
Title: PVV Engineer- 123407
Your Position:
- Plan and execute PVV durability tests for major tractor structural components including but not limited to frame axles housing brackets and mounting structures.
- Develop test plans load cases test cycles and acceptance criteria based on product requirements design specifications and applicable standards.
- Independently design and validate test fixtures and tooling ensuring proper load paths boundary conditions and test safety.
- Conduct bench rig or vehicle-level durability tests; monitor test progress and ensure data integrity and compliance with PVV processes.
- Analyze test results and investigate structural failures identifying failure modes and root causes such as fatigue cracking yielding or joint failures.
- Collaborate with Design Engineering CAE Manufacturing and Supplier Quality teams to drive issue resolution and design improvements.
- Document test procedures results and conclusions in formal PVV reports and support design reviews and gate reviews.
- Bachelors degree or above in Mechanical Engineering Vehicle Engineering or related discipline.
- Solid understanding of structural durability and fatigue fundamentals including fatigue life concepts and influencing factors.
- Experience with durability testing of structural components in tractors off-highway or heavy equipment products.
- Proven ability to design test fixtures independently with clear understanding of load application constraints and structural safety.
- Familiarity with common structural failure modes and failure analysis techniques.
- Knowledge of test instrumentation and measurement methods (strain load displacement etc.).
- Strong hands-on capability and problem-solving skills in a test or lab environment.
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and communicate technical results clearly.
- Detail-oriented with strong focus on test quality safety and data accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple test activities and work in a fast-paced development environment.
- Experience in agricultural machinery or off-highway equipment durability testing.
- Exposure to correlation between CAE and physical test results.
- Experience with PVV processes product development gates or design reviews.
- Background in structural failure analysis or durability improvement projects.
