Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Process document preparation: Based on standards such as ASME GB150 TSG 21 and GB/T 20801 as well as design drawings prepare process procedures and operation instructions for key processes such as cutting forming welding and assembly for pressure vessels (such as heat exchangers towers reactors etc.) and pressure pipelines (pipe sections pipe systems).
  • Drawing decomposition and material calculation: Responsible for the process decomposition and deepening of design drawings such as isometric drawings and layout diagrams converting them into pipe section processing drawings material lists (BOM) and cutting lists that can be used for production in the workshop ensuring the data is accurate.
  • Work hour calculation and quota establishment: Based on product drawings technical requirements and process flows calculate the work hours for processes such as cutting forming assembly welding heat treatment and non-destructive testing of pressure vessels and pressure pipelines and formulate scientific and reasonable standard work hour quotas to provide a basis for production planning and cost accounting.
  • Welding process support: Assist welding engineers in the conversion and on-site implementation guidance of welding process evaluations (PQR) and welding process specifications (WPS) and supervise welders to operate according to process requirements.
  • On-site technical support: Go deep into the production front line promptly solve technical problems such as cutting layout plate rolling assembly and welding deformation control and provide effective solutions.
  • Tooling and fixture design: Based on production needs design or improve the tools fixtures and jigs required in the production process to improve assembly accuracy and production efficiency.
  • Process flow optimization: Analyze the existing production process identify bottleneck processes and continuously optimize the process flow through process improvements the application of new materials or new equipment to reduce manufacturing costs and improve production efficiency.
  • Quality issue handling: Participate in the analysis and handling of quality issues in the production process formulate corrective and preventive measures from a process perspective and track and verify their effectiveness.
  • Material utilization improvement: Responsible for the optimization of material layout and cutting for raw materials (especially steel plates and pipes) improving material utilization and controlling material losses.
  • Technical training: Conduct process technology briefings and operation training for production team leaders and front-line operators to ensure that process requirements are correctly understood and implemented.
  • Other assignments as company and/or supervisor required. .

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelors degree or above; majoring in Process Equipment and Control Engineering Mechanical Manufacturing Material Forming Welding Technology and Engineering etc.
  • More than 3 years of process technology experience in pressure vessel or pressure pipeline manufacturing industry; familiar with the manufacturing processes of Class 1 2 and 3 pressure vessels and industrial pressure pipelines;
  • candidates with experience in ASME products and pressure pipeline component manufacturing are preferred.
  • Proficient in pressure vessel and pressure pipeline-related standards and specifications such as ASME VIII Div.1 GB150 TSG 21 GB/T 20801.
  • Skilled in using drawing software like AutoCAD and SolidWorks as well as Office software.
  • Familiar with the performance and processing techniques of pressure vessel and pressure pipeline materials (carbon steel stainless steel alloy steel composite plates etc.).
  • Possess strong knowledge in welding forming heat treatment etc. and be able to independently solve on-site process problems.
  • Understand the basic principles and requirements of non-destructive testing (RT UT PT MT).
  • Have solid time accounting and cost analysis capabilities.
  • Possess rigorous logical thinking ability and strong sense of responsibility paying attention to details.
  • Have good communication and coordination skills and teamwork spirit.
  • Have strong ability to withstand pressure and solve problems.
