Job Summary

Position Title: Performing and Visual Arts Coordinator
Division: All School
Supervisor: Director of Activities and Sports (coordinator) and the divisional leadership for the teaching component (teaching)
Position Summary:
The Visual and Performing Arts Coordinator leads Concordias PK12 extra-curricular arts program working with divisional leaders arts faculty and the Activities & Sport Department to deliver mission-aligned offerings. This role oversees major performances festivals facilities staffing and long-term program growth requiring strong project management skills to coordinate events that occur during school mornings evenings and weekends.
A performing arts teaching component is part of this role.
Requirements:
Education
  • Minimum bachelors degree in Performing Arts or Music
  • Teaching Certificate
Experience
  • Minimum 5 years of successful performing arts teaching experience with at least 3 years of performing arts supervisory experience
  • Knowledge of the overall operation of a visual and performing arts program system and facility.

Key Areas of Responsibility
Supervision Responsibilities
  • Supervise theater support personnel.
  • Provide leadership and support for extra-curricular instructors in the arts.
  • Participate in recruitment onboarding mentoring and evaluation processes as appropriate.
Facilities Management
  • Oversee the scheduling and effective use of arts facilities.
  • Collaborate with Finance and divisional leadership regarding long-term capital planning.
  • Work with the operations team to develop equipment replacement and facility enhancement plans.
  • Coordinate equipment maintenance and technical support.
Program Development
  • Strategically lead the P12 extra-curricular arts program.
  • Schedule and promote events with the Activities & Sport Department principals and external partners.
  • Oversee extra-curricular arts activities including AMIS APAC Arts ACAMIS productions concerts festivals and academies.
  • Build partnerships with local and international arts organizations.
  • Manage the set and scene shop programoverseeing construction design equipment materials and storagein collaboration with faculty staff and students.
  • Recruit arts teachers and staff (e.g. Music Academy) as needed.
  • Encourage broad student participation while also supporting advanced pathways for highly engaged students.
  • Support curricular arts showcases (concerts exhibitions productions) and work with divisional leaders and faculty to strengthen the overall P12 arts experience.
Student Management
  • Work with divisional leadership and teachers on student discipline issues.
  • Work with the Activities and Sport office related to extra-curricular arts program logistics travel and policy alignment.
  • Plan Visual and Performing Arts awards programs.
Communication and Community Engagement
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Communications to promote the arts and celebrate student achievement.
  • Maintain strong partnerships with parents alumni and community organizations.
Strategic Planning
  • Contribute to the schools strategic planning and accreditation processes.
  • Use data and feedback to evaluate program effectiveness and guide action steps.
  • Lead long-term planning for the development of extra-curricular visual and performing arts.
