Lead Engineer, Test Development

JOB OVERVIEW:

Search is on for creative (Lead) Test Management Engineer to bridge the gap between design intent and manufacturing execution inheriting High-Level Verification Strategies and Plans from our internal Systems Engineering Teams and own the end-to-end execution of Product Verification.

Acting as the Primary Technical Gatekeeper you will oversee audit and hold our Contract Manufacturing (CM) partners accountable to ensure verification test requirements are executed flawlessly across all stages of the Product Development.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Strategy Translation: Convert internal Systems Engineering Verification Plans into actionable manufacturing test setups and schedules at CM Partners.

• CM Oversight & Governance: Serve as the main point of contact for the CMs testing team auditing their installed test capabilities test setups equipment calibration and data logging infrastructure.

• Multidisciplinary Verification: Cross-examine CM test results across diverse domains including mechanical reliability electrical functional testing software flashing and wireless connectivity (RF/Bluetooth/Wi-Fi).

• Defect & Failure Analysis: Lead Joint Design/Manufacturing Review meetings to triage test failures determining if failures stem from design issues or CM manufacturing/test-fixture variance.

• Data Gatekeeping: Establish data pipeline requirements for the CM to upload automated test logs ensuring full traceability of every serial number.

• Sign-off Authority: Review and formally approve the CMs Product Verification reports providing the green light for production milestones.

Technical & Professional Requirements:

• Education: Bachelors or Masters Degree in an Engineering Discipline

• Experience: 6 years in test engineering or product validation with at least 2 years in a lead or principal role managing external vendors/CMs.

• Communication: Exceptional vendor-management and negotiation skills with demonstrated ability to hold external partners to strict quality and timeline standards without damaging relationships.

• Cross-Domain Competency: Developing comprehensive test strategies across Multidisciplinary Systems including Mechanical Electrical and Software Components.

• NPI Familiarity: Deep understanding of New Product Introduction (NPI) life cycles moving from EVT/DVT through to PVT

• Statistics & Statistical Analysis: Familiar with the application of mathematical principles and/or deployment of statistical analysis to report on Test Performance Reliability/Warranty analysis
