Job Summary
Product development 70%
- Responsible for optical modeling optical design and design review ODVT.
- Doquickopticalsimulation and specresponse in RFI/RFQ.
- Join the system products optical cards early performance evaluation and design solution finalization work with mechanical hardware team
- Develop new optical components specification and verification requirements.
- Work with NPI team to transfer design to manufacture.
Legacy Sustaining 10%
- Take ownership technical approval on components PCN.
- Take technical ownership on optical components introduction in related products for cost reduction.
- Support and complete technical issues RMA from manufacture of legacy products.
Technics development 20%
- Investigate new micro-optical integrated modules or EDFA-related optical techniques Raman amp.
- Provide support on feasibility study on these new techniques based on current designs.
Qualification & Requirements
Education & Experience
- Bachelor degree or Master degree PHDin Optics Electro-optics Physics or Electrical Engineering with strong optics and fiber optic background required.
- Over 10 years experience as Bachelor and 2-5 years working experience as Master degree. 0-2 years PHD degree.
- Good understanding of products in optical communication system including EDFA/Raman Amp/OCM/OTDR/WSS/SFP.
- Good understanding of active and passive components used in optical communication industry.
- Experience ofworking withmulti-functional teamsand new product transferis preferred.
Skills & Other Requirements
- Good communication skills and teamwork capability. Proficient in written and oral English.
- Good sense of innovation and creative ideas. Familiar with AI tools.
- Experience in test script development for ODVT testing like Python etc.
- Quick learning and strong adoption in new team.
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex issues.
