Job Summary

Job Summary:

Industrialization project leader is responsible for taking a new product from prototype to mass production. Act as the critical bridge between the Research & Development (R&D)/Engineering teams and the Manufacturing/Operations teams. The primary goal is to ensure that a product can be manufactured reliably on time within budget and to the required quality standards.

Job Responsibilities:

  •  Project Planning and Management
    • Develop Master Plan: Create own and manage the comprehensive industrialization project plan including timelines milestones deliverables and critical path analysis.
    • Risk Management: Proactively identify potential risks to the project (technical supply chain quality budget) and develop mitigation strategies.
    • Resource Allocation: Coordinate with department heads to secure the necessary resources including personnel equipment and facility space.
    • Reporting and Communication: Provide regular status updates reports and presentations to key stakeholders including senior management on project progress risks and budget.
  • Technical and Process Leadership
    • Design for Manufacturability (DFM/DFA): Collaborate with the design engineering team early in the development cycle to ensure the product design is optimized for efficient manufacturing and assembly.
    • Process Definition: Define develop and document the entire manufacturing process from raw material intake to final product packaging.
    • Tooling and Equipment: Lead the specification procurement installation and qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ) of all necessary manufacturing equipment jigs fixtures and tooling.
    • Pilot and Pre-production Runs: Plan and manage pilot production runs to test the manufacturing process identify issues and validate equipment and procedures before full-scale launch.
    • Production Ramp-Up: Oversee the gradual increase in production volume (ramp-up) monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) like yield cycle time and quality.
    • Documentation: Ensure all manufacturing documentation such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) work instructions and process control plans are created validated and released.
  • Cross-Functional Team Coordination
    • Central Point of Contact: Act as the primary liaison between all involved departments including R&D Engineering Quality Assurance Supply Chain Procurement Production and Marketing.
    • Facilitate Collaboration: Lead cross-functional team meetings to drive decisions resolve conflicts and ensure alignment on project goals.
    • Manage Stakeholder Expectations: Clearly communicate project objectives and constraints to all stakeholders to ensure a shared understanding and manage expectations.
  • Quality and Compliance
    • Quality Standards: Work with the Quality Assurance team to define quality criteria inspection methods and control plans for the product and process.
    • Validation and Qualification: Ensure that the manufacturing process is fully validated to consistently produce products that meet specifications.
    • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the manufacturing process and facility comply with all relevant industry standards and government regulations (e.g. ISO FDA CE).
    • Root Cause Analysis: Lead problem-solving efforts for any failures or deviations encountered during pilot runs and production ramp-up.
  • Supply Chain and Procurement
    • Supplier Qualification: Collaborate with the procurement team to identify evaluate and qualify suppliers for critical components and raw materials.
    • Material Readiness: Ensure a stable and qualified supply chain is in place to support production launch and ramp-up.
    • Bill of Materials (BOM) Management: Oversee the transition of the Engineering BOM (eBOM) to a Manufacturing BOM (mBOM) ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Financial and Budget Management
    • Budget Development: Develop and manage the project budget including Capital Expenditures (CapEx) for equipment and Operational Expenditures (OpEx) for materials and labor.
    • Cost Tracking: Monitor project spending against the budget and report on any variances.
    • Cost Optimization: Continuously look for opportunities to reduce manufacturing costs without compromising quality

Qualifications :

Qualification Requirements:

  • Bachelor or above in mechanical and electrical engineering related majors
  • >5 years manufacturing field experience; Below experience is desirable:
    • Cross functional experience in MOE/TEF/Project management
    • Experienced industrialization project from 0->1
    • Interpersonal skill and emotional intelligence to work in complex project and business environment.
  • Understand the orchestration of Industrialization (Process development Machine Build Sample build Production planning) as well as SE (Industrialization purchasing engineering supporting function)
  • Intrinsic motivation and driving power to accomplish ultimate business objectives Q/C/D/T having the most competitive product in the market

  • Personal character: take calculated risk self runner creative at the same time systematic learning ambition and capability resilience towards pressure pragmatic and efficient   

  • Good project management skill (resource time risk)

  • Excellent English both in written and oral.
