AWS China Introduction Amazon Web Services came to China in 2013 and has been relentlessly investing and expanding our infrastructure and business since then. Amazon Web Services launched its China (Beijing) Region (operated by Sinnet) in September 2016 and its China (Ningxia) Region (operated by NWCD) in December 2017. In 2019 Amazon Web Services added a new region in Hong Kong making China the only country with three Amazon Web Services regions aside from the U.S. In 2022 Amazon Web Services launched Local Zone in Taipei. As a Database Specialist SA you will design complete solution architectures based on AWS database services (RDS Aurora ElastiCache DynamoDB etc.). You will collaborate with customers and partners on key engagements including customer discovery whiteboard solutioning presenting technical deep dives and other technical sales support activities.

Key job responsibilities
1. Provide customers with deep technical expertise and strategic guidance on AWS Database Services. Collaborate with AWS specialist sales marketing and product teams to develop innovative solutions for customers most challenging business problems
2. Serve as a trusted technical advisor to customers executives helping them navigate cloud transformation. Lead architectural reviews and workshops focused on common use cases and industry best practices
3. Design and architect complex database solutions using relational and non-relational technologies. Develop and deliver PoC projects technical workshops and support migrations from on-premise databases to AWS database services
4. Champion industry best practices through blogs white papers and reference architectures. Present at AWS Summits and other industry events
5. Provide feedback to AWS product teams on customer requirements; act as primary contact for urgent customer issues. Stay current with emerging trends in Database and Generative AI technologies

- 2 years of Information Technology (IT) experience
- Bachelors degree

- Experience implementing a cloud-based technology solution
- Experience with two or more of the following: networking fundamentals security storage or databases (relational or NoSQL) operating systems (Unix Linux or Windows)
- Experience working in a customer-facing role
