Job Summary

Position Summary

The AC PL PMO Manager is responsible for establishing and governing best-in-class project management practices across the Product Line organization. This role drives project execution excellence through robust governance portfolio management resource planning performance tracking and strategic reporting. The position serves as the key liaison between the global PMO and regional project teams to ensure effective implementation of global product development processes transparency of project performance and successful portfolio decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Management Governance & Process Excellence

  • Partner with HC Global PMO to deploy and continuously improve the global Integrated Product Creation Process (iPCP).
  • Lead the implementation and institutionalization of iPCP across AC Product Line projects.
  • Develop governance mechanisms standards templates and project management best practices to ensure disciplined execution.
  • Monitor project compliance with stage-gate requirements and governance processes.
  • Conduct project health reviews and identify risks gaps and improvement opportunities.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project execution effectiveness and organizational project management maturity.

2. Project Portfolio Governance & Executive Reporting

  • Organize and facilitate monthly Product Portfolio Steering Committee meetings.
  • Coordinate portfolio review materials and executive-level presentations.
  • Consolidate project updates key risks resource constraints and portfolio recommendations.
  • Ensure timely escalation of critical issues requiring leadership intervention.
  • Track and follow up on Steering Committee decisions and action items.
  • Provide regular portfolio performance reports to Product Line leadership and Global PMO.
  • Develop dashboards and performance metrics for management decision-making.

3. Engineering Resource Budget Management

  • Establish and operate a transparent project resource planning and capacity management process.
  • Monitor project budget planning spending and forecast accuracy.
  • Analyze portfolio performance trends and provide actionable recommendations to improve execution excellence.
  • Support leadership teams in balancing resources across strategic priorities.

4. Digital Tool Deployment

  • Lead implementation and adoption of project and portfolio management (PPM) tools across the organization.
  • Establish standardized project data management and reporting structures.
  • Build and maintain an integrated portfolio management system that provides visibility on:
    • Project status and performance
    • Resource allocation and capacity utilization
    • Budget planning and tracking
    • Schedule and milestone management
    • Risk and issue management
  • Ensure data quality transparency and consistency across project portfolios.

Qualifications :

Education

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering Business Administration Project Management or related field.
  • Masters degree preferred.

Experience

  • 8 years of project management PMO or portfolio management experience.
  • Proven experience managing complex new product development (NPD) projects.
  • Experience implementing stage-gate or product development processes.
  • Experience with project portfolio management systems and tools.
  • Experience working within global and cross-functional organizations.

Preferred Certifications

  • PMP (Project Management Professional)
  • PgMP PMI-ACP or equivalent project/program management certifications preferred.
