Job Summary

RSSW is seeking a dynamic and engaging Warehouse Supervisor to oversee the operations of two warehouses located in the Québec City area. Reporting to the Regional Director of Operations the successful candidate will supervise a team of 10 to 20 employees depending on the time of year and ensure the achievement of performance health and safety quality and customer service objectives.

Main Responsibilities

Operations Management

  • Oversee daily receiving warehousing order picking shipping and delivery activities.
  • Coordinate operations between both warehouses to optimize efficiency and productivity.
  • Ensure established service levels and delivery timelines are met.

Team Management

  • Supervise coach and develop a team of 10 to 20 employees.
  • Foster a positive safe and collaborative work environment.
  • Conduct performance follow-ups evaluations and development plans.
  • Plan workforce requirements according to seasonal fluctuations.
  • Participate in recruiting onboarding and training employees.
  • Act as a coach for employees and team leads to promote autonomy and accountability.

Continuous Improvement and Optimization

  • Initiate and actively participate in projects aimed at optimizing operations reducing costs and improving quality.
  • Use key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor and improve results.
  • Develop and maintain standardized work procedures.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Health and Safety

  • Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular inspections and implement necessary corrective actions.
  • Participate in incident and accident investigations and analyses.
  • Promote best practices in workplace safety and prevention.

Administrative and Technology Management

  • Proactively monitor operational and health & safety performance indicators.
  • Prepare reports required by management.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure an excellent customer experience.
  • Participate in the preparation and monitoring of the operational budget.
  • Optimize the use of integrated logistics systems.

Qualifications :

  • College diploma (DEC) or bachelors degree in Operations and Logistics Management or equivalent education and experience in a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in warehouse distribution or logistics supervision.
  • Experience managing personnel.
  • Strong knowledge of warehousing inventory management and distribution operations.
  • Proficiency with computer applications and logistics management systems (ERP WMS TMS).
  • Bilingualism (French/English intermediate to advanced level) required due to the organizations nationwide operations and the need for effective communication across regions.
