Volunteer Responsibilities:
- Set up and prepare the café area for service
- Operate the tuck cart and café service
- Handle cash transactions (cash only)
- Serve occasional kitchen specials provided by the dietary team
- Maintain a clean and welcoming café environment
- Clean tables sweep floors and assist with general café upkeep
- Foster positive relationships with residents staff families and visitors through excellent customer service
Qualifications/Skills/Expectations:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Friendly positive and enthusiastic attitude
- Good communication and listening skills
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Reliable and consistent attendance
- Comfortable handling cash transactions
- Teamwork; able to work with a variety of people
- Understand the need for confidentiality
- Vulnerable Sector Police Check
Job Type: Casual/Volunteer (unpaid)
Locations: St. Peters Residence at Chedoke (125 Redfern Ave. Hamilton)
