Video Game Tester
Job Summary
- Conduct comprehensive functionality usability consistency content and hardware compatibility testing across multiple game builds.
- Execute and maintain thorough test plans to ensure every build meets quality standards before release.
- Document in-game issues with detailed visual/reproductory logs in JIRA and by collaborating directly with programmers to reproduce track and resolve defects.
- Draft weekly reports on issues and concerns for the Quality Services Manager.
- Partner with the customer support team during peak periods resolving user inquiries through our online ticketing system.
- Excellent gameplay skills.
- Quality assurance and testing knowledge (understanding of STLC and SDLC defect/bug lifecycle).
- Experience with regression smoke exploratory ad-hoc and localization testing.
- Experience with different platforms especially mobile.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong written communication - Keeping detailed notes to record bugs found.
- Able to work independently and in a team environment.
- Good computer skills with proficiency in Google suite Adobe and Atlassian products.
- Excellent organizational time management and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of defect tracking tools (JIRA preferred).
