Function:
The Turnaround Procurement Coordinator supports the Medicine Hat Complex with operational procurement activities for the upcoming turnaround project.
This is a temporary role with an anticipated duration of approximately four (4) months.

The Turnaround Procurement Coordinator supports the Medicine Hat Complex with operational procurement activities for the upcoming turnaround project.
This is a temporary role with an anticipated duration of approximately four (4) months.
What youll do:
- Manage open orders communicate delays identify alternatives coordinate logistics and ensure timely receipt of all orders.
- Monitor and follow-up on key milestones within the schedule for complex long-lead fabrications.
- Support site procurement in delivering short-term goals aligned with business and site plans.
- Support the efficiency in procurement and materials control by reporting on key performance indicators.
- Proactively identify resources needed to meet customer expectations and turnaround demands.
- Effectively manage complex tasks related to process expediting and turnaround administration.
- Proactively manage deadlines and effectively prioritize internal and external tasks.
- Responsible for creating and updating reports and documentation to include change orders status reports material orders and schedules.
- Review purchase orders for accuracy of materials ordered and contracted costs.
- Actively participate in Procurement-related meetings.
- Effectively utilize established folder structure and network files for all work documentation and tracking.
- Update team on the status of equipment orders and delivery including delays and any corrective action required.
- Support the Procurement team with general Procurement tasks as needed.
- Collaborate effectively with the team to support on-time on-budget delivery.
- Support the Materials Control function to optimize inventory levels and minimize stock outs.
Required Skills
- High School diploma required.
- SAP/COUPA and/or other Enterprise Resource Planning experience preferred.
- Buying experience preferably in manufacturing/industrial procurement.
- Project expediting experience is an asset.
- Strong understanding of procurement process for industrial materials.
- Proven organizational skills as well as the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks at once.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including working knowledge and use of Word and Excel.
