Job Summary

In this role you will:
- Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies
- Support multiple broad based sampling and monitoring programs and collection of chemical physical and biological tests (water biota sediment)
- Apply quality control and quality assurance protocols to monitoring programs
- Maintain repair and calibrate monitoring and sample collection equipment and instrumentation
- Carry out environmental data entry review and management
- Participate in field investigations and inspections
- Coordinate contractor management to ensure work is being conducted safely and in accordance with the project scope
- Supervise and monitor environmental projects such as remediation maintenance of pollution control infrastructure or programs and field sampling initiatives
Requirements:
- Degree or Diploma in a related industry area such as Engineering Environmental Science Environmental Technology or in an Earth Sciences field such as Biology Geography Forestry and Agriculture
- Valid Class 5 Drivers License or equivalent
- Experience in environmental compliance or monitoring in the resource industry
- Knowledge of relevant environmental regulations standards and effective industry practices
- Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite
$85000 - $105000 a year
The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidates relevant experience skills and competencies and considers internal equity.
