Systems Specialist, Azure Virtual Desktop

The Systems Specialist is a collaborative and key member of the team who will deliver expert-level support for desktops laptops mobile devices and virtual desktop environments. All successful applicants must meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP) Canadian Government Security clearance and U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

Salary: $61000-$85500

• Deploy and maintain Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) infrastructure for scalable remote access
• Administer and optimize Microsoft Exchange 2016/2019 and related collaboration tools
• Manage and enhance endpoint management platforms including Microsoft Intune and SCCM
• Build and maintain secure standardized OS images and software packages
• Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to enforce endpoint protection and compliance policies
• Lead or contribute to IT projects such as hardware refreshes OS upgrades and application rollouts
• Document technical procedures and contribute to internal knowledge bases
• Mentor junior IT staff and provide Tier 3 escalation support
• Partner with business units to deliver timely process-driven tech solutions aligned with ITIL standards
• Stay current with EUC trends and recommend suggestions for improvements

• Education Required: A university degree college diploma or a related discipline
• 3-8 years of experience in IT Environments (Systems)
• Knowledge/Experience in: Active Directory (AD) Microsoft IntuneAzure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and SCCM
• Knowledge/Experience in Cloud Platforms such as Azure
• Effective customer service and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail while being able to pivot to changing priorities
• Work well in a collaborative environment
