What Youll Do Here:
- Promote lead and execute a Safety-First culture for all employees sub-contractors and consultants in compliance with the projects Environmental Health and Safety Program and occupational health and safety requirements.
- Promote safety in all activities and engage in safe work plan development hazard assessments and mentorship with crews.
- Provide guidance to team members by leading safety meetings and inspections.
- Track and report project cost quality control resource requirements.
- Drive quality efficiency and productivity of work crews.
- Direct Foremen on productivity issues and monitor the work performance working with the Foremen and crews to overcome challenges.
- Follow project plans and budget while ensuring the Foremen and crews perform to meet production goals.
- Assist the Foremen to translate drawings specifications and work requirements into a prioritized work plan.
- Understand the scope and sequencing of work plan and prioritize the work effectively redirect crews and equipment to assigned tasks and minimize downtime on sites.
- Work with the Construction Manager to identify material equipment and labor resource requirements.
- Work with the Construction Manager and Foremen to periodically reassess established goals to meet forecasted production schedules and budgets.
- Build and maintain a strong functional team through instruction training coaching and team building.
- Ensure work completed meets quality standards that preparation and submittal of required reports documentation and logs are completed.
- Oversee the approval of daily production records and reporting on work progress these include:
- Daily quality control inspections and checklists.
- Record and report of violations or disciplinary actions.
- HSE inspections and reports.
- Project specific forms/inspections/tracking as required.
- Review and approval of daily field logs.
- Reviewing daily time cards and logs with the Project manager/Leads to ensure accuracy of phase codes and reported items.
What You Bring to the Team:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a supervisory position in the construction industry with experience in heavy civil infrastructure projects.
- Experience with Hydro Electric Dams or other structural construction projects is an asset.
- Experience working on a large multi-disciplinary teams is an asset.
- Experience managing a diverse group of Subcontractors.
- Experience coordinating with public project owners to comply with Local Agency and environmental issues and requirements.
- Exceptional ability to multitask in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to communicate in a timely and effective manner with the public and project stakeholders.
- Proficient computer skills in MS Office (Outlook Excel Wordetc.).
- Must have a valid BC Drivers License.
The expected pay range for this role is $140000.00 - $160000.00 per year
