Structural Engineer/Designer
Job Summary: Our office in Toronto is looking for a Structural Engineer or Designer to assist with growing the office designing buildings and providing technical expertise to our structural projects in areas such as Life Sciences Tech Civic Education Mixed-use and Healthcare.
Responsibilities:
- Design of new building structures as well as structural alterations renovations and additions to existing buildings Design
- Experience with a variety of materials in particular structural steel design
- Plan and coordinate projects with Architectural Electrical and Mechanical consultants and attend coordination meetings
- Collaborate with engineers and drafting colleagues to assemble tender documents and/or reports
- Respond to Clients request for proposals
- Design and detailing of structures including calculations and computer modeling for steel concrete masonry and timber structures
- Perform site reviews and construction administration services during the construction phase.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Structural Engineering.
- Registered Professional Engineer with PEO would be an asset
- You have min 3 to 5 years of structural engineering experience (required)
- Experience with lateral models an asset
- You have experience in designing steel concrete wood and masonry structures for buildings with ability to use design software such as ETABS SAP 2000 RAM STEEL and SAFE.
- Proven ability to work in a fast paced environment that requires multi-tasking
- Possess a valid drivers license.
- Comfortable with working at heights and confined spaces at times.
Location: Toronto Ontario
Travel: Up to 10%
Compensation & Benefits:
The expected base salary range for this role is $75000 to 95000 CAD per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on a number of factors including skills experience qualifications and location.
