Location: Toronto ON - Hybrid (4 Days WFO)

Duration: 6-12 months

Looking for a strong Java Backend Developer who has some web application (front-end) experience.

Role and Responsibilities

• As a Backend Software Developer you have a solid technical foundation and a strong focus on growing your development skills.
  
• You are able to deliver complex tasks working individually or pairing with others and you have a significant amount of experience in different domains.
  
• You will be part of a team creating new services and client-facing applications using the latest technologies which will shape the future of banking.
  
• You will develop and support highly scalable high-performance APIs within an Agile development team.
  
• Ensure high code quality through automated unit and functional testing.
  
• Automate processes within the development pipeline; identify opportunities for efficiency gains and reducing time-to-market and enabling continuous delivery.
  
• Design and develop code structures based on technical design defined by the team.
  
• Work within an Agile product team comprised of technical product and business team members to deliver exceptional products.
  
• You will actively seek out knowledge about new technologies and how they can be used to solve current and foreseeable challenges.
  
• Excellent communication including the ability to distill technical details into human terms.
  

Required Qualifications

• Cloud experience in one of OCP Azure or AWS.
  
• Prefer OCP4 minimum (3x) years.
  
• Java/Spring experience minimum (5x) years.
  
• LINUX/AIX experience minimum (3x) years.
  
• GitHub Actions experience minimum of (1x) year.
  
• GitHub experience minimum of (2x) years.
  
• Agile experience minimum (3x) years.
  
• Strong leadership skills leading Agile teams (3x) years experience.
  
• DevOps minimum (1x) year experience.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Trading business domain knowledge.
  
• AI experience (LLM MCP RAG LANGCHAIN Skills/Agents/Tasks/Vector DB).
  
• Experience with Web App development Angular JavaScript etc.
